Senior Credit Analyst -Qatar

Our client, a top tier bank in Qatar, is actively looking to recruit a Senior Credit Analyst to join its expanding credit team; the jobholder will be in charge of performing credit assessments for a large portfolio of corporate and business customers.

Position is based in Doha, Qatar


The main responsibilities will include:
- Prepare Credit applications trough analysis of financial statements and economic environment
- Liaise with Relationship Managers for information and document gathering
-Carry out quality credit assessment and present solutions to new and existing clients
- Assure compliance to the bank credit policy
- Monitor, assess, approve and submit approval for credit limits
-Make recommendation and presentation to the credit Committee
- Manage credit risk within the assigned portfolio
- Follow-up on credit facility recovery, monitor and regularize issues related to irregularity or defaults
- Coordinate with other business units to ensure timely receipt, review and approval of customers credit proposals
- Provide industry research as and when required
- Provide timely and accurate advice to business on availability of banks limits
- Actively participate in achieving the objectives of the credit department

The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor Degree in Banking, Finance or related subject; Master/MBA will be a plus
- At least 5 years experience in credit for a renowned banking institution; Islamic banking experience will be an added value
- Very good knowledge of credit evaluation and risk associated
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills in English (mandatory) and Arabic (preferred)
